Models  

 

  At this moment there are 2 models of optical Solid State Sensors on the market availbale besides of the version used in the Poseidon rebreathers.

The sensor sold by Poseidon will only work with the Poseidon rebreather and its M28 dive computer.

The models shown above are in fact the "same" as the known one sold and used by Poseidon, they just have a different internal software.

So these do NOT work with the M28!! For M28 the version sold by Poseidon is needed

Also this two shown above are a different in their internal software! The can not be mixed nor they are interchangeable in a given setup.

 

As these digital sensors need power to work and at this moment all availalable dive computer are analog a power source and īsme elctronics are needed to connect them to a Shearwater or similar dive computer

We have used and tested the sensors in the past years and are happy. Good they are now officially available,

There are several ways to integrate them to an existing rebreather

Diameter : 28,6mm

lenght overall, with thread and connector: 28mm  (21,5 without the thread)

Thread: standard M16x1 as galvanic cells

Standard 2 cell SolidBox

This box can be used if an additional cable gland is available or can be made with access to the cell house/chamber.

So existing cell Fischer/4Pin Ak cable can be used

1 or 2 solid state cells can be connected , and the existing female molex normally going to the standard cell are now connected to the two male connectors coming from SolidBox

SolidBox  4Pin AK

This box uses one existing M12x1,5 cable gland access to cell house.

2 Solid sate cells and one analog can be connected.

The dive computer is then connected to the 4pin AK cable coming from the SolidBox

Standard cell reading for the computer/display is left and right on display are the solid state cells, center reading is analog cell

Different options are possible: 1 solid- 2 galvanic or 2 solid and 1 galvanic

SolidBox  7 Pin Fischer cable

 

This box uses one existing M12x1,5 cable gland access to cell house.

2 Solid sate cells and one analog can be connected.

SolidBox  7 Pin Fischer cable with Kiss Kidney

 

This box uses one existing M12x1,5 cable gland access to kidney.

2 Solid sate cells and one analog can be connected.

The dive computer is then connected to the Fischer cable coming from the SolidBox

Standard cell reading (as on picture) for the computer/display is left and right on display are the solid state cells, center reading is analog cell

Different options are possible: 1 solid- 2 galvanic or 2 solid ad 1 galvanic
